32 Week Dr. Visit and last couple weeks of mayhem!

32 week doctor visit went OK. I had an Non stress test that took 40 minutes....all of which my poor mom was having to hold the sensor that picks up Khloe's heart rate. They came in 4 times and said they weren't getting the variables they wanted so finally they used this loud machine on my stomach to wake her up and waa-laa they got what they needed :) (whew, I was not prepared to have a baby) So after a 2 hour doctor visit I was finally released back into the world for another week!

Not really much else has went on.... I finally got a new double stroller :) and swing. (that we had to drive to the Babies R Us in Durham to get)..... We purchased the paint for Khloe's room and I got the bedding delivered on Friday! I am starting to get really excited about the room, now.... can't wait to post pictures!

Lawson no longer has any GLUE on his noggin! His scar looks great!

My husband turns 37 today. Wow, I am married to an old man :) Happy Birthday, honey!

30 Week Ultrasound and Doctor Visit

GOOD NEWS and a small amount of disappointment :( Ultrasound went well. Everything looks great. Khloe Ilene is growing at a great rate...she is in the 60th percentile weighing in at 3lbs. 12oz.! At her 26 week ultrasound she weighed 2lbs. 4oz. so that is 1lb. 8oz. gain in 4 weeks! We don't want her to gain too much but we need her to continue to gain. Amniotic fluid looked great and I STILL HAVE CERVICS!!!! God is good! I have my next ultrasound at 34 weeks. (BTW she was sucking alot today on ultrasound which is why she has the hiccups all the time.....but she was not licking the uterus!)

Disappointment.......NO good 4d pictures. This child does not want me to have a good 4d picture of her. I have had 6 ultrasounds now and I have 1 good 4d picture of her. She will be too big at the next ultrasound to get any. She is too far down in the pelvis and has both her hands crossed in front of her face. Her little legs are crossed too (just like a lady) which is the only good picture we could get today!

Khloe's name in chalk on the back patio!
All in all today was a good day!!!!!

Baby Khloe's Room / Pre-term Labor worries

Well, I have made my final decision on the baby's bedroom. My mom purchased a vintage crib and a couple of vintage pieces of furniture we (actually she) is going to refinish them in high gloss black paint! I chose a black and off white toile bedding set for the crib and a kinda mint green color for the walls. The babies room has hard wood floors that are needing a bit of work, so my mom is going to sand and refinish the floors as well! I can't wait for the finished product! Wish I could be involved in the labor process a bit more but...... I better behave as requested! Mom's know best :)

I have really started getting a bit nervous the past couple of days leading up to this ultrasound and doctors appointment. At 31 weeks I started dialating with Lawson and had my first preterm labor hospitalization. I am really praying that baby Khloe does not follow in his foot steps and this doctor visit will be a breeze! We will see on Thursday!

Lawson's first big boo boo

Yesterday was Lawson's turn for a big boo boo. Kaila broke her arm at 18 months old, Kinsey burnt her finger at about 18 months, Logan got hit in the head with a golf club in Sept. 09, and now Lawson was running and fell on the fireplace and cut his head. Luckily it was an easy fix! His doctor's office was still open and does stitches so I took him on over and they didn't even do stitches! They just glued it together! It was so much easier than stitches. No needles or extra pain....Thankful for GLUE! He did much better than anticipated. I guess he really is a BIG boy :( Thankfully my mom and dad were closer this time so I just drove the 2 minutes down the road and picked them up and they were a big help! Lawson loves his Grammy and Papaw :) Not sure what I would do without their help!

Khloe 20 week ultrasound

Well I am 30 weeks and just now getting around to writing about our 20 week ultrasound. Well it's a girl! We are naming her Khloe Ilene Young. Khloe to follow in the K girl names and Ilene after my mothers mother! Everything on the ultrasound was great, no problems detected. Since this ultrasound I have had 2 others. One with a cardiologists to check the babies heart since I am on insulin and one for just a regular growth weight check and both turned out to be great! At the last ultrasound at 26 weeks we could not get any good pictures worth posting because her head was tucked in my pelvis and we couldn't see her face :( but the ultrasound tech did say it appeared she was licking my uterus. I found this very funny :) I do get to go back for another ultrasound next week so hopefully she is not too big to get good pictures then.
