Khloe's Room is Finished!
Pictures are not great because I used my phone but.....We have had a great time decorating Khloe's room. With this being our last baby and it being a girl I wanted something special for her room. Thank you mom for all your help! If I may say so her room is gorgeous!
Logan's Haircut
Ok, so Logan is my opinionated, to say the least, 4 year old. He has been asking me for a mohawk for months now. I have been putting him off and putting him off but I finally decided that having a mohawk was certainly not the end of the world. He is so proud of his hair :) Lawson hates getting his haircut but still wanted his picture taken!

36 Week Ultrasound, Appointment, and Thoughts!
I am 36 weeks 3 days today! Ultrasound this morning went great! Khloe Ilene is 6lbs. 13oz. which is an amazing amount of growth in 2 weeks. Khloe's last ultrasound her weight was approximately 5lbs. 4oz, so that is 1lb. 9oz. Ultrasounds can be off slightly but that shows she is still growing and at a great rate! The ultrasound tech. said Khloe has allot of hair which explains the large amount of heartburn I have had lately. Amniotic fluid looked good at 11, which is down about 2cm from a week ago being at 13 but still is a good amount. I have not let them check my cervix, although they ask me every time I go in if I want to know :) I would prefer to guess at this point! (I was 2cm 9 days ago so anything more than that is 1 more cm closer to meeting my baby)....
I was also told in my ultrasound today that she has huge feet. They measured 7.72cm!
I have a scheduled amniocentesis for Monday, July 26. If the amnio comes back that there is an 80% chance or higher that Khloe's lungs are developed then they will induce on Tuesday, July 27th. If the amnio comes back with immature lungs, depending on how immature it comes back, they will induce at 38 weeks if I have not went into labor on my own. (I am thinking the chances of that are very slim but I guess you never know) and I potentially could be waiting until 39 weeks if the lungs come back greatly immature. It has been really hard to pray for the amnio to come back with the right answer and not the answer that I want but I want what is best for Khloe, even if that does mean she needs my tummy for a bit longer. I am however so ready to meet her and start my life as mommy of 5!
The older kids are doing great! I think Kaila and Kinsey are ready to go back to school although Kaila has gotten into the teenage habit of sleeping in until 10 or later. Oh to be 12 again! (according to her 12 is rough :)) The boys are a bit bored with playing inside....it would really help if it would cool off just a bit so they could play outside. (I would like that, too)......
Well, I will post again on Monday with the results of the amnio UNLESS I GO INTO LABOR BEFORE THEN :)

35 week NST and Dr. Visit
I am officially 35 weeks today and getting really excited about meeting Khloe Ilene! Doctor visit went well. NST was a bit easier today. Everything looked good! They did the normal 35 week test (Group B strep, iron, and urine test). This is the first time they have had to check my cervix and I am already 2cm dilated so....light duty for the next couple of weeks but NO BEDREST!!!! Yah :)
They are sending over a referral to my perinatologist for an amnio at 37 weeks for lung maturity. If lung maturity is positive they will deliver at 37 weeks! This means Khloe will be here the last week of July!
My mom had to work today so she couldn't make it to this visit :( but I brought all the kids and they behaved very well considering it took 1 1/2 hrs.
May have more news on Thursday!

34 Week Ultrasound
Today I had an ultrasound and all news was great! Khloe is 5lbs. 4oz. which is the 41st percentile. My amniotic fluid is holding steady at 13! Khloe looked great so we just truck on from here! Have an NST Monday at regular OB....hopefully this will be nothing more than a routine visit!
Khloe's bedroom is coming along great! Put the crib together and it is beautiful! Put the crib bedding in the bed and moved the dresser in the room. Still have so much to do in the room but it already looks great! Hopefully, we will get it done soon so I can post some pictures of the finished product.

July 4th Festivities
We got a nice surprise Sunday morning when I was woke up by Kinsey saying "Mommy, mommy, guess what my tooth just fell out!" She was so excited! It could have been out over a week ago if she would have let me pull on it but..... she is a big drama queen and it was not worth it! Either way Kinsey will never be the same Kinsey! She is getting her big girl teeth :( She was very excited that the tooth fairy came to visit her and had the boys interested in how the tooth fairy got in their house and their room and they didn't hear her? hhhhhmmmmmmm I wonder? :)
We then spent the day with Mom and Dad! Spent hours in the pool! The kids had a blast. They were so tired they slept until 9 am this morning :) That was nice because Mark hit the golf course at 7:30 this morning to get in a round of golf!
After we were done in the pool and had dinner Mom and I (really just mom, I watched and kept her company) sanded and repainted the dresser to go in Khloe's room! It is starting to come together and looking great!
We had a great 4th of July!

33 week Dr. Appointment and this weeks happenings!
Doctors appointment took a whopping 2 hours. 45 minutes on the NST machine. I ate before I went this time but still Khloe had NO desire to cooperate :) They used the sound wave machine to wake her up again and low and behold they finally got the variability in the heart rate they needed so.....it was on to a room! They did a quick ultrasound just to check for amniotic fluid. My fluid level was 13 which is normal, yah (passed another test!). No preterm labor, knock on wood!
I went off insulin last friday due to low blood sugars. I was told by my diabetic nutritionist that normally when your blood sugars level out toward the end of a pregnancy it is due to lack of placental function. This was a bit worisome considering the placenta is the only thing supplying Khloe with oxygen, food, and all the things she needs to survive. At that point the fact that gestational diabetics have a higher rate of still births kind of hit home but all testing has come back showing that this is not happening in my case. My blood sugars have went back up the past couple of days and so my diabetic doctor has put me back on insulin. They are thinking it was just a sudden change in hormones for one reason or another, so we are just watching is closely. I go for a growth ultrasound on Thursday and I am so excited! I will be almost 35 weeks and have not had an ultrasound in a month! I am sure she will be too big to get any good 4d pictures but just maybe she will cooperate this time.
My mom came over and painted the babies room! She also got the antique crib finished in glossy black! It is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to post pictures in the next couple of weeks! She is also covering a vintage chair in new fabric, painting a couple of vintage dressers, and sewing some items for the room! Good thing she is so handy :)
Not much else has really went on this week Dad had to go out to work, mom worked alot, Mark worked late almost every night, Kaila is being her typical almost teenage self....not getting up until she wants, watching tv all day, texting, and getting on the computer :), Kinsey has a loose tooth that I am not sure how it is possibly staying in but I am NOT touching it, Logan...well Logan is being Logan, and Lawson....I am trying to start to potty train with much resistance. I am asking myself if potty training is really that important! I have been so lucky in the past Kaila and Kinsey were a breeze to potty train and Logan potty trained himself by 2 1/2. Lawson is 2y 7m and has NO interest, however, he doesn't want to sit in it? Go figure.
Will post again on Thursday unless something interesting goes on before then :)
