Glow Sticks!

While we were at the beach last week, grammy brought some glow sticks to play with one night which was greatly entertaining and made great pictures! Enjoy!

Kaila is in 7th grade and Kinsey is a 1st grader!

Wow, I can't believe how time flys....It seems like yesterday was Kaila's first day of Kindergarten and now she is in her 2nd year of Middle School :( However, she is doing great! I am so blessed that she is such a well behaved child (ps. she doesn't take after her mother, lol). She is doing great in school so far. She is in advanced band this year and is playing the bass clarinet! I can't wait for her first concert!

Kinsey had no problems going to school this year (it was nice not to have to deal with weeks of crying and screaming). She loves her teacher and assistant! So far she has gotten all green cards (which are good) but I am waiting for the notes about her talking :) (and yes she is more like her mother) and not standing/sitting still! Academically she is doing much better so far this year and seems to be more engaged in classroom activities.

I am excited to watch the girls grow academically and physically through out this year!

Khloe 4 Week Doctor Appointment

This was a fairly easy doctor appointment! Khloe weighed 8lbs. 1oz. and doesn't return until she is 2 months old! Khloe was not doing so great on the Alimentum formula so we have switched (yet again) to Nutramigen. I hope this is going to work!

Khloe 3 Week Pictures and Sunday Doctor Visit

The past 3 days have been quite eventful with Khloe having well....very, very, loose poopies :) Doctor was not positive of reason but most likely she is allergic to not only milk protein (which runs in the family) but soy protein as well. They put her on Alimentum to calm her bowl track and she goes back to the doctor on Wednesday for another weight check and to discuss her formula further.

They did weigh her today and she weighed 7lb. 10oz.!!! Yah..... I can't believe Khloe will be 4 weeks tomorrow! Short post.....but enjoy the pictures!

Khloe 2 Week Doctor Appointment

Khloe was tired after her doctor appointment.....



Thankfully the 3 hour round the clock feedings are paying off! Khloe is back up to birth weight and a couple ounces more! Khloe weighed in at 6lbs. 13oz. and 19.5 inches long. That is a 6oz. gain in 8 days :) She has also grown 3/4 of an inch since birth!

Since Khloe did so well gaining weight in the past week we get to go 2 weeks between visits, so her next visit she will be 1 month old!

FYI....while we were at the doctors today Kinsey ran into Lawson in the waiting room and gave him a black eye ;) There is never a dull moment!

Khloe Ilene 2 weeks

Khloe's Doctor appointments at 2 days, 5 days, and 1 week.

Since they thought Khloe had acid reflux in the hospital and she was spitting up allot I had to take her to the pediatrician the day after we left the hospital. They weighed her and she was 6lbs. 5oz. They wanted to see her back on Friday for a weight check to make sure she was going to gain weight and not continue to lose.

Khloe went back to the doctor on Friday (she was 5 days old) to find she was not gaining weight however we did not lose either. She remained at 6lbs. 5oz. The doctor gave me strict orders to feed her every 3 hours. In the beginning this was quite complicated because she had no interest in eating but she caught on very quickly :)

We returned to the doctor on Monday (she was 1 week old) and she had gained 2.5 oz.! Her weight was 6lbs. 7.5oz! So getting up to feed her every 3 hours at night did pay off!

Since she started gaining weight and she has done so well not spitting I don't have to return to the doctor until she is 2 weeks old for just a weight check to ensure she is still gaining weight. I will update the blog with her 2 week check up on Tuesday :)

I am so amazed and thankful out how PERFECT she is! I have so much to be thankful for :)
